January 31, 2007Iron Pour Photos
January 31, 2007
I’ve posted some photos I took at the iron pour on Saturday (as well as some from last May) onto flickr. Take a gander at them, and please let us know if you’ve got photos available for viewing.
Also, it would be great if people would provide photos of other events happening in the RiNo district. Looking forward to seeing more! Cheers, Hugh
district news
January 31, 2007Hey RiNo’s, let us know what’s going on at your location.
your thoughts.
January 30, 2007The Shuttles;
did they work? We’d love to hear from you if you were riding one or were a RiNo location.
The Weather;
we’re getting feedback that it was cold last weekend. Personally, I like a winter event. At this time last year we had our very successful first RiNo tour and the weather was not a topic. Damn you el nino. Your thoughts?
Two days;
was exhausting (but in a good way) for the locations. Did it work for you?
The Raffle:
70 bottles of wine, an i-pod shuffle and multiple cases of Flying Dog Beer.
Discuss.
thanks!
January 30, 2007This weekend we met great people and made new contacts with visitors that had never been the the neighborhood before; thank you to all that braved the weather to check out the district! We hope you come back not only to our next event, but visit the galleries and businesses in between. Thanks to the old friends that came back and have supported us all for years.
Thank you to all the locations that participated, we’re especially grateful to those that sent invites and emails out and directed their guests on to other locations. Thanks Bill and Phil, our tour guides, you were great and made the shuttles worth the ride.
Thank you to Ironton who hosted hundreds of people over the weekend, most of which came all at once on Saturday night! I hope it was worth the wear and tear, the spilled beer and the sand. Thanks to Rian, Mark and iron pour folks for the fire and endless photo opportunities. And for not burning a hole through anyone:)
Lastly, thanks to Tracy for being a great partner in all things RiNo. And Hugh Graham for being a great partner in all things.
If you all haven’t seen the RiNo self portrait show at Rex and Sharon Brown’s Patternshop, visit 6-9 this Friday or Saturdays thru February 1-5. Look for Michael Ensminger’s, it is Best in Show!
After the dust settles a bit, we’ll get interested RiNo’s together to look at what worked this last event and begin to plan the next.
Best, Jill Hadley Hooper
PS here, thank you to all the sponsors, this event would not have happened as successfully without you!
Welcome to our new blog!
January 29, 2007We are please to announce our new blog. Talk about art. Talk about making art. Talk about RiNo here.
